24 Hours of le Mans : Charles Pozzi celebrate the victory with its Ferrari 499P #83.

19 June 2025

For the first time since 1996, a private team has claimed overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. And for the first time in history, a private team has achieved this feat driving a Ferrari. The number 83 Ferrari 499P, entered by AF Corse and owned by Charles Pozzi, crossed the finish line in first place, driven by an exceptional trio: Robert Kubica, Phil Hanson, and Ferrari factory driver Yifei Ye.

This historic win rewards the unwavering passion and commitment of Charles Pozzi, owner of the car alongside AF Corse in the purest tradition of motorsport.

A historic Ferrari distributor in France, Charles Pozzi carries forward the Racing DNA that forged the legend behind the name. Charles Pozzi himself, a renowned driver and close friend of Enzo Ferrari, competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans four times and began entering cars in 1972 with a class-winning 365 GTB4, followed by BB 512 LMs in 1979 and 1980, firmly inscribing his name in French and international motorsport history. Today, this commitment to performance, loyalty to the Maranello factory, and unrelenting passion for racing remain at the heart of the Charles Pozzi spirit.

As the proud owner of the Hypercar 499P #83, Charles Pozzi salutes the trust placed in AF Corse, whose reputation and expertise in motorsport are second to none. This ambitious project, driven by the passion and vision of its leaders Éric Neubauer (President) and Armelle Neubauer (CEO), embodies a powerful ambition: to reconnect with the golden age of racing, to promote the Charles Pozzi Racing DNA, and to secure a lasting place for the brand in international motorsport. It is through their commitment that this dream has become a reality, rooted in the values of loyalty, excellence, and passion that unite Charles Pozzi with Ferrari.

The victory of the #83, in its iconic yellow (Giallo Modena) livery, is the result of AF Corse’s flawless strategy, the impeccable mechanical performance of the 499P, and masterful driving. It adds to Ferrari’s historic hat trick, following the triumphs of #51 in 2023 (centenary edition) and #50 in 2024.

Robert Kubica: “Winning Le Mans is a unique feeling. Ever since 2021, when I lost the win in the final lap, this race has been an obsession. Today is a revenge—and a dream come true.”

Phil Hanson: “The last laps felt endless. It wasn’t until the 499P crossed the line that I truly realized we had won. Le Mans never forgives, not until the very last meter.”

Yifei Ye: “The car was fantastic. We were able to fight for victory from the start. Winning Le Mans with Ferrari is truly something special, especially after the disappointment of last year.”

At Charles Pozzi, this victory is more than just a sporting result, it represents a legacy, a commitment, and a deep sense of pride. The story continues.
