Carlos Alberto "Charles" Pozzi was born in 1909. Passionate about cars and racing since his early childhood, he began his career in 1930 as a car salesman.
In 1946, Charles Pozzi competed in his first race at the Nice International Grand Prix. He finished in 8th place propelling him into the media spotlight.
In 1947, he participated in the Gran Premio di Torino and met the Scuderia Ferrari for the first time. He participates in many races including the mythical 24 Hours of Le Mans. The victories follow one another and Charles Pozzi becomes unavoidable in the world of motorsport.
Then in 1952, Charles Pozzi accompanies one of his friends to Maranello and meets Enzo Ferrari. This is how Charles Pozzi cultivated very good relations with the Commandatore and become very close.
In 1969, Charles Pozzi became the official and exclusive Ferrari importer for France. He surrounds himself with Daniel Marin, a former racing driver, who becomes the CEO of the company Charles Pozzi SA. Simultaneously the Charles Pozzi team will be born and see the day a little by chance.
From 1972, the victories follow one another, the Charles Pozzi team wins the 24H of Le Mans as well as the Tour de France Auto aboard a 365 GTB/4.
In the 1990s, Daniel Marin created the 348 Challenge and this is how the Charles Pozzi effervescence began. Indeed for the first time, Ferrari customers will have the opportunity to compete on the circuit. The Challenge Championship then develops successively on the Ferrari 355, 360, 430, 458 models and then with the new 488 in 2017.
In 2010, the Neubauer Group acquires Charles Pozzi SA in Levallois-Perret and continues the history and reputation of the brand. To get as close as possible to motor racing, Charles Pozzi opened in 2016 a new Official After-Sales Service in the Technoparc located in the heart of the mythical 24H du Mans circuit.
